Varanasi / Alwar: Under the flagship Swavlamban Women Empowerment Program, 5,000 women from self-help groups (SHGs) across rural clusters have been awarded certified micro-tailoring diploma certificates and industrial sewing machinery toolkits.
The initiative not only provides vocational handloom and tailoring training but also connects women artisan collectives directly with urban retail brands and online craft marketplaces, ensuring monthly sustainable earnings of ₹14,000+ per artisan.
